About Us

ProjectTech4Dev aims to be a high performing tech enabler for nonprofits. At Project Tech4Dev, we provide solutions ranging from providing open source platforms to NGOs to building tech capacity in nonprofits. We equip non-profits with the technology they need to amplify their impact. Our open source platforms include- Glific, Development Data Platform, and Avni. In this role you will work with NGOs, ecosystem partners and our funders to ensure all parties are committed to the direction we are headed in from an education and upskilling perspective. This work builds on our Data Cohort Program (DCP) and our upcoming AI Cohort Program and leads into the broader goal of how we approach educating and upskilling our ecosystem organizations (which includes all 3: NGOs, software/data partners and funders)

Qualifications & Experiences 

Technology and Management Degrees with at least 5+ years of experience in technology. Experience working with different stakeholders and building consensus is important. Experience working or volunteering in the social sector is important. Having past experience in organising and running cohort based programs would be a big plus

Skills & Competencies

  1. Knowledge and experience in:
  2. Technology, Data and AI especially from a program perspective
  3. Project/Program Management
  4. Data Analysis and/or Management
  5. Technology and Social sector professional with 5+ years experience with at least 3 years in a strategic and managerial role
  6. Relationship building and strong communication and presentation skills
  7. Learning and adapting mindset to fit with org needs, capabilities and constraints
  8. Building and managing a team at all levels, including collaborating with other team members to enable ideation and adoption of new technology
  9. Belief in technology as an enabler and not being vested in tech tools per se
  10. Mainly a capacity builder versus a doing on their own personality
  11. Approachable with a good attitude and empathy towards work done in the social sector
  12. Experience estimating and delivering projects


Responsibilities

  1. ⁠Identify tech and data trends and gaps in the sector where cohort based education programs can add value to the ecosystem of social impact.
  2. Design and lead such cohort-based programs - identifying objectives, crafting session flows, curating relevant content, and ensuring each session delivers actionable value to participants.
  3. Own end-to-end coordination and execution, including identifying and onboarding expert speakers, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  4. Broaden and deepen partnerships to leverage expertise, networks, and funding to meet program and nonprofit needs.
  5. Effectively draw on feedback and learning to iterate and improve program impact and sustainability
  6. Identifying, building and managing relationships with partners who can build and deploy the necessary applications and technologies to meet the needs of the organization
  7. Communicate and build strong relationships with our funders especially those who are funding us for our ecosystem work and their specific needs. Currently this includes Cisco, Veddis Foundation
  8. Design Tech4Dev Learning and Engagement strategy that fill the gap between lightweight (SaaS Platforms) and heavyweight (fCxO) strategies. 


Work Location and Travel

  1. Work remotely
  2. Required Travel every quarter for a week for Project Tech4dev team meeting
  3. Required to travel to NGO or partners office as per the need of the engagement

Pay Range

  1. We expect to hire candidates with significant differences in years of experience, skill level and reasons for moving to the social sector. As such, our pay range is a bit broader than normal
  2. The pay range for this position is expected to be between 20 LPA and 35 LPA
  3. Our goal is to build a great working environment and workplace culture and give folks the opportunity to visit and work with NGOs, attend local and national conferences, and work as a group once a quarter at a nice location and place
